The school runs its records, timetables, report cards, invoicing and communication from one admin panel.

Yes. The AI Tutor gives CAPS-aligned explanations tailored to the learner’s grade and subject, and the teacher tools generate CAPS-aligned lesson plans, worksheets and assessments. It is built for the South African curriculum rather than adapted to it.
Yes. Study Pal Academy is a progressive web app, so it installs straight from the browser onto Android phones, iPhones and iPads without visiting an app store. On Android, Chrome shows an "Install" prompt. On iPhone or iPad, open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, then tap "Add to Home Screen". Once added, it opens full-screen like a normal app.
Request a trial and we walk you through the platform. When you are ready, we send you an Excel template for your school details, staff, learners and parents. You email the completed file back to us, the system validates it, and login credentials are generated and emailed to every user automatically — administrators, teachers, learners and parents. You get a confirmation within minutes of sending the file, and access is activated within 24 hours at the outside where anything needs manual checking.
A school pays for two things: a once-off setup when the school is first onboarded, and a school subscription billed per active learner for a monthly or annual period. That subscription covers every learner, parent and teacher feature. The only optional extra is the teacher AI Assistant, which an individual teacher may buy for themselves — the school is never billed for it, and learners never pay for anything. We quote your school directly, because the figure depends on your learner numbers and the period you choose. Any amount is always shown in full before you pay.
Nothing renews automatically and no card details are ever stored. Every payment is a separate, once-off transaction that you start yourself and complete on PayFast’s secure page. Because no recurring payment is scheduled, there is nothing to cancel and no cancellation fee — if you no longer want the service you simply do not renew, and access continues to the end of the period you already paid for. Renewing before expiry extends your existing period rather than starting a new one, so you never lose days you have paid for.
Never. There is no checkout, no subscription and nowhere to enter card details anywhere in the learner experience, and a learner’s access is provided by their school. Study Pal Academy will never ask a learner for card details, banking details or payment of any kind. If anything claiming to be Study Pal Academy asks a learner to pay, they should not enter any details — they should tell a parent, guardian or teacher, and report it to us.
No — it is optional, and a parent who would rather pay the school directly by another method can do so. Where a school does collect fees through the platform, those payments are fees owed to the school: the school raises the invoices and sets the amounts, due dates and any arrangements, and we pass the money to the school. Questions about what was charged go to the school. Faults in the payment itself — a duplicate, or an amount debited but not recorded — are ours to fix, and we do.
Personal information is processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Learner accounts for users under 18 are created and consented to by a parent, guardian or school, and payment accounts may only be held by someone 18 or older. Card payments are handled entirely on PayFast’s secure page — no card details are stored by Study Pal Academy. The full detail is in our Terms.
